A few days ago I wrote about my covert op at Chapters, flipping a fellow author's books so the covers were visible.
Now it turns out that Borders is going to try this for more books at its stores, claiming that a trial at one of its locations resulted in a 9% increase in sales.
The flip side is that putting more books face out means displaying a smaller variety of titles.
However, higher sales is higher sales so I suppose this is A Good Thing (TM)?
