But the study seems to mesh with some of the theory in Lisa Zunshine's Why We Read Fiction. Cognitive literary theory gets some validation.
My question is: is writing good for one's social skills? If I happen to get into the zone and the writing is flowing, I often can't string together a coherent sentence afterwards, my brain's so off in neverland. Just ask my husband.
