Since my last post mentioning one of my pet peeves (an overabundance of typos), I've run into another pet peeve: the use of low-quality ink. Or maybe it's a combination of the paper and the ink? Some adherence issue?

I just bothers me when I pick up a book and then have to wash my hands after holding it for too long. At least, with this one, my fingertips didn't turn black. But they did feel coated with something after each reading session. And each time I turned to a pristine page, I'd find my eye flitting thirty seconds later to a black smear on the page, where my fingers had touched some print and caused a smudge. Took me out of the story every time.
