This is my ABNA quarterfinals "sticky" post for Untalented. Newer regular postings can be found immediately below this.
For the newly arrived to this blog, my YA fantasy, Untalented, reached the quarterfinals in the 2009 Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award. So exciting!
Here is the official Amazon page for downloading the excerpt and posting reviews.
Since Untalented's advancement to further rounds of the competition depends upon customer reviews in mysterious ways that I don't fully understand, I would be most grateful for any endorsements.
[Update Mar. 25] Amazon has fixed the international download problem. Download away!
[Update Apr. 10] Someone has been spamming the "No this review was not helpful" button on all the reviews Untalented received, and my own "Yes this was helpful" votes in thanks to each reviewer have disappeared. I just wanted to say that I really do appreciate each and every review. They have been great, and very helpful. When the tally says "0 of 1 reviewers found this review helpful", it makes me look like an ungrateful heel, and that's not the impression I want to leave reviewers with. So thank you. Thank you very much.
Here's hoping to see you in the semifinals.
Once again, congratulations! And best of luck in the competition.
Thanks! I'm just happy to have gotten this far. :-) Am a little nervous about what PW has to say...
That's awesome! Grats :)
Take it from a "competitor": Untalented is fabulous! I hope I get to read more soon. ;)
Thanks! Sometime in the next year I'll have it up online, I think. Am working on a podcast too.
