I was reading this CBC post about an Oregon Ultimate team losing their season for playing some no pants points.
Say what?
Ultimate is one of the "free-est" sports I've ever played (although I don't play it anymore because my aging hips complain too much). Ok, so the rules say one must wear clothing. Nevertheless, no pants, and even underwear or naked points, while rare, were somewhat of a tradition in the VUL while I was playing, if agreed upon by both teams. My husband even saw this type of thing when playing at Nationals (although the parents of the Juniors playing on the adjacent field were somewhat nonplussed).
At any rate, a little skin never hurt anyone. To lose a season over something that's an Ultimate tradition? Come on.
