There seems to be an inverse relationship between how much electricity I have available to me and how productive I am writing. The power on Pender Island was out for much of Sunday & Monday, due to the double whammy of snow followed by pounding rain and high winds. Cable was out as well, which meant my internet connection and router were also down for the count.
But the laptop was fully charged.
And lo! I had my first 1000+ word writing day in ages.
Just to illustrate my point, I've been catching up on all the news items I missed over the last two days and blogging. Today, Story 2 has so far increased in size by only 185 words. But I'm going to blame that on lack of sleep, and not increased connectivity. :-)
